Weight Diary Privacy Policy

Weight Diary is designed as a private, local-first weight tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information You Provide

You may enter weight records, dates, body fat values, notes, goals, height, gender, preferred units, language settings, and other app settings. This information is used to show your diary, trends, calendar, goals, BMI-related values, and app preferences.

Local Storage and iCloud Sync

Your weight diary data is stored on your device by default. The app does not require an account to use local tracking features. If you enable iCloud Auto Sync in Settings, your weight history, profile, goals, health records, menstrual records, custom exercises, streak data, and fasting data are synchronized through Apple's CloudKit private database so they are available to compatible app installations using the same iCloud account. The developer cannot access the contents of your private CloudKit database through the app. Turning off iCloud Auto Sync stops future uploads and downloads on that device but does not automatically delete local data or data already synchronized to iCloud.

Analytics and Diagnostics

The app may use Firebase services for app diagnostics, crash reporting, and privacy-conscious product analytics. Analytics are used to understand reliability and general feature usage, not to sell personal health information. You can manage analytics-related choices from app settings when those controls are available.

Health Data

If Apple Health integration is added or enabled, the app will request permission before reading from or writing to Apple Health. Health data access is used only for the features you authorize.

Advertising and Purchases

If ads or subscriptions are added, related services may process identifiers or purchase status needed to provide those features. The app will present relevant consent and preference controls where required.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal weight diary data. Data may be processed by service providers only as needed to operate diagnostics, analytics, advertising, purchases, or other app features, and subject to their applicable terms.

Data Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device until you edit or delete it, uninstall the app, or erase device data. Data synchronized to iCloud may remain in your private CloudKit database until it is removed through the app or your iCloud data management controls. Diagnostic and analytics data may be retained by service providers according to their retention policies.

Your Choices

You can choose not to enter optional information, turn off iCloud Auto Sync, delete records in the app when supported, disable permissions in iOS Settings, and uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from the device.

Children

Weight Diary is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. When required, we will ask you to review and accept updated terms before continuing to use protected app features.
